Open Source to prolong the life of products

„If and when a company stops supporting one of its products, all parts of the product should then be given free and open sourced (by law), to enable others to repair, rebuild or provide spare parts further, prolonging the product’s life span.“

So says Stefan Schridde of MURKS? NEIN DANKE! – one of Europe’s strongest voices against planned obsolescence. It is an interesting question and a political demand that we will discuss further during the OSCEdays in Berlin and also globally. #policymaking
